THE ALDER RESIDENCE

The Alder Residence, located in the heart of Tribeca in New York City, is situated in the Fleming Smith Warehouse. The historic feel of this restored building allowed for ample design opportunities on the inside. The design of the condominium has a modern, art deco style to go with the location and feel of the building. The mix of styles was also chosen so there won’t need to be more renovations done in the future, this can be Alder’s forever home. The art deco style is very elaborate and dramatic which was carried through the overall layout of the home. You will walk in and feel like you just stepped into a 50’s nightclub with dramatic walkways, layered lighting, and soft, velvet textures throughout. The materials and products chosen for the design had the environment and ADA considerations in mind to aide in the longevity of the products and his life.
